A hot chocolate fundraiser is a sweet way to raise money during the winter season, and it’s also a super easy fundraiser to run. Whether you decide to sell hot chocolate at your winter carnival, or have a hot chocolate stand at hockey games, this fundraiser requires minimal effort that raises money for your cause.
What you’ll need for your fundraiser:
You don’t need much to make this fundraiser run smoothly. You’ll want to buy hot chocolate mix in bulk, and purchase or borrow a couple carafes to keep it hot. If you’re planning on running your fundraiser on a recurring basis, make sure that you’re always in the same spot so your supporters can find you. You’ll need a table for your hot chocolate, to go cups, and lots of change so that your supporters can purchase items. Have one volunteer in charge of keeping the money box, especially if you’re planning on running your event on an ongoing basis.

Have regular hot chocolate and peppermint hot chocolate, or serve your hot chocolate with a candy cane on top or peppermint flakes. Marshmallows are also a fan favourite for this kind of fundraiser, especially if you are running your fundraising event as an addition to another event, like a christmas play or carnival.
Organizing your volunteers:
If you’re running your hot chocolate sale on an ongoing basis, make sure that you have a comprehensive schedule for your volunteers. For example, if you’re running your fundraising event during your kids’ hockey game, have a rotating roster of parents who man your hot chocolate stand.
