Running a t-shirt drive is a great way to raise money for your team, cause, or school. It’s extremely simple to run, and can be a great option, especially for families with growing kids. Call on your community to donate their gently used t-shirts, sweaters, and other clothing items to help your cause.
How to organize your donations:
Let your community know that you’re collecting items for a t-shirt drive fundraising event, and have a designated location where supporters can drop off items they choose to donate to your fundraising campaign.
What you’ll need for your fundraiser:
You’re going to need volunteers to help you price each item once the drive has concluded. You will also need volunteers on the day of the sale to help you cash out customers and keep track of all of the items at your fundraising event. Make sure that you have change handy, and that your supporters know if they won’t be able to use credit cards. You’re going to want to have your volunteers check each item of clothing before your sale, to make sure things that have been donated are suitable for sale.
How your fundraiser raises money:
Once you have all the donated items, organize them by size and have a t-shirt sale. Advertise the sale to your community, and charge per item on the day of the sale.
What to do with items that don’t sell:
Have an organization in mind that takes donations of clothing and other items, and bring unsold items there.
