The most important thing about the location of your easter egg hunt fundraiser is that the area is secured and safe for children. If you don’t have a fenced in area you can use, make sure that you have volunteers who go through the easter egg hunt with the participants, especially if you are hosting your fundraising event for young children.
What you’ll need for your fundraising event:
You’ll need a good amount of easter eggs for your fundraiser. It’s best to use hollow plastic eggs and fill them with surprises, so that when your participants find them it’s even more fun. Put the best prizes in the most hidden easter eggs to raise the stakes. You’ll also need baskets for your participants to carry their eggs in, and decorations for your location.
How to prepare for your fundraising event:
You’re going to need to prepare all of the easter eggs in advance. Plan a prep date in advance so your volunteers have enough time to help fill the easter eggs and prepare the baskets. On the day of your fundraising event, you’ll need ample time to set up, so factor that in and let your volunteers know. The last thing you want is for your participants to show up while you’re still hiding easter eggs.
How to promote your fundraising event:
Create a Facebook event and a flyer for your fundraising event. Invite your community members, and have flyers available for your participants that they can take home. Give your supporters ample notice for your easter egg fundraiser. Eater is a busy time, so you’re going to want to give your supporters enough time to plan for your event.
How your fundraiser raises money:
Charge your participants a fee to compete in your easter egg hunt fundraiser. Make sure that you factor in the costs of your fundraiser in the price that you charge for your event.
