How To Run A Flower Sale Fundraiser

November 13 2017

FlipGive is a free team funding app that makes raising money a breeze. Teams earn cash back for buying the things they already need. Get paid whenever you shop, dine out, book hotels or activities.

A flower sale is a great way to raise money for your cause, team, or school. This kind of fundraiser is especially popular during the holiday season, over Valentine’s Day, and of course around Mother’s Day.

One day flower sale fundraiser:

One day flower sale fundraisers are ideal if you are hosting your fundraising event on a specific day, like Valentine’s Day. You want to make sure that you publicize your fundraiser, so that your supporters know that they don’t have to buy their flowers from somewhere else. Flower sales that require inventory are especially time sensitive, so make sure that you have a good estimation of how many flowers you will need. Talk to your local florist and see if they would be willing to donate day-old flowers to your fundraising efforts.

Pre-order flower sale fundraiser:

This kind of fundraiser requires a lot of organization, but it’s ultimately an easier fundraiser to put together. When you create a campaign on FlipGive, up to 10% of every purchase of flowers go toward your fundraising campaign. The great thing about running your fundraiser this way, is that you don’t need a team of volunteers to help you, and usually these flower services deliver.

How to organize your pre-order:

Create a fundraising campaign on www.flipgive.com and create a team shopping list that includes the flower service you would like to use. Alternatively, you can print out order forms and set up a booth at a team practice or during lunch at school so that supporters can order their flowers from your fundraiser. You can also send out emails to your community or school email list to help raise money for your cause.

FlipGive and Cammi Granato would like to thank our official supporters Dallas Stars, Seattle Kraken, LA Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Hawerchuk Strong, Jackson Events, Canlan and other donors for helping support future legends as part of the Cammi Granato Girls Hockey Grant.
